Dell XPS 13 – an ultrabook with many unique features is being launched by Dell. Dell, the most trusted brand has a large variety of computers to cater both consumer and enterprise segment.

Interestingly, the current model is targeted to attract both business and consumer users. Dell comes up with this innovative idea as most of the business users prefer to use the same laptop both for their business needs and personal needs.

In this scenario, most of the time, the personal preferences will have upper hand in decision making process when it is time to purchase new laptops for an IT department in an enterprise. You can choose any of the Windows 7 OS versions from Premium to Ultimate. The wireless transfer is enabled with Intel Smart Connect Technology that abides 802.11 standards besides supporting Bluetooth 3.0.  You can have better control on full sized keyword with back lighting.

Glass button touchpad makes your interaction easy with the ultrabook. With 47WHr battery power you can enjoy backup for up to 8 hours of continuous performance. With just 1.4 kg of weight, the ultrabook offers one year limited hardware warranty.

Even though Dell XPS 13 has some design elements present in XPS 14z and XPS 15z, the laptop offers unique features and makes an attractive choice for both consumer and business users.

Dell XPS 13 comes with very thin features of the order of 6 t0 18 mm thick and width of 316 mm and depth of 205 mm. Even though the processor is powered with Intel Sandy Bridge at the time of launch, it may offer Ivy Bridge in the coming months.

Competition & Price Of Dell XPS 13

Dell XPS 13 boots very fast. XPS 13 is fully equipped to compete with Asus Zenbook UX31 and MacBook Air. In order to attract IT professionals, the ultrabook will include features like TPM, corporate images, corporate BIOS, asset tagging, etc.

Dell’s XPS 13 marketing strategy can be compared with HP’s strategy with Folio 13. The product is likely to hit the market by the end of February. XPS 13 is more compact than earlier ultrabooks.

It is expected that XPS 13 will be priced a bit higher than HP’s Folio 13 or Toshiba Portege Z835. Coming to the connectivity, the ultrabook supports USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 and offers mini display port along-with headset jack.

However, it is not provided with a slot to read SD Cards. This may not be a drawback as another brand Lenovo IdeaPad U300s was able to sail with cute design, comfortable keypad and high performance processor.

Along-with one year of premium support on hardware and software of Dell XPS 13, consumers will get resolutions at a fast pace. It looks good (physically). The fact that it was designed for business and personal use makes it more interesting. Laptops are already part of most people’s lives nowadays.

I haven’t tried using dell ever since, but would like to try this ultrabook of them. I guess this would be very ideal for me especially that I’m looking forward for better units in the future of course. That would surely boost my interest working online. LOL

The Dell XPS 13 will certainly interest Businesses. The current trend is to securly enable consumer hardware bought by Staff to connect to corporate networks. This is a cost saving for Businesses as they do not have to outlay for Laptops, Notebooks and other portable mediums.

The hybrid model for both consumers and enterprises will certainly raise a few eyebrows.

Dell laptops are of high quality and that’s why i personally use Dell D620 but after reading the specs of Dell XPS 13 i would love to buy this one.

Laptops has been great gadget partner of people both line with business and personal use and that is because of its advantage having compatibility and handy. Since then, as time passes by laptops become more innovative with contemporary features just like what Dell features, targeting both enterprise and personal edition and with its modern day features for sure people would love to have their own.
